Each Bookroo box comes complete with beautifully packages books and an information sheet with more information about each of the books as well as a QR code that will link you to Bookroo’s site for more related activities you can do at home.

Bookroo’s New Custom Edition Book Collections

Most recently, Bookroo has partnered with their publishers to create a custom edition collection of children’s books that are not only fun to read, but beautiful to look at as well.

The books in these collections are the same great quality books, but printed to be uniform in height, and even color coordinated to create a cohesive look on your bookshelves.

Our most recent Bookroo boxes were from this collection and they are LOVELY.

Our Experience with Bookroo Boxes

This was not our first experience with Bookroo books.  In fact, you can read our original review here.

That said, this was the first time we tried the Junior Chapter Book book club.  While my oldest still enjoys picture books a great deal, he is quickly moving into reading more chapter books on his own and we incorporate chapter books more frequently during our read aloud time.

I knew he would be excited to get his hands on new books to read.

That said, my younger two did not want to be left out of the book club deliveries.  They were thrilled when their own box was delivered the following month.

One of the things we love about Bookroo is the ability to alternate between book clubs each month if your children are on different reading levels.

This saves us from needing to have a separate subscription for each child (although, we do fully support that idea!).

The boys love to see the bright, cheerful boxes in the mail.  And I love to see them excited about reading.

Is Bookroo Worth It?

At first glance, a Bookroo subscription, like many subscription boxes, may feel a little bit pricey.

That said, we still think it’s a great deal and here’s why:

It’s true.  I always check the prices to see if I could have bought the books cheaper on my own, and every time, Bookroo is the better deal.  (This is comparing similar, hard cover, prices.)

*I should add here, that I do wish that there was an option to preview books before they shipped.  We have not received a book we didn’t like, but I would still love to have a preview option.
