Sticker Christmas Trees: A Fun Christmas Math Activity
The premise of this activity is that each tree is labeled with a number, 1-10. Based on the number beside each tree, kids will be able to add that many “decorations” (or in our case stickers) to each tree.
There isn’t a right or wrong place to put the stickers, so kids are free to decorate them however they want.

Supplies
- Free downloadable Christmas Tree pages
- Christmas stickers – We grabbed our sticker roll from Target’s dollar spot this year, although here is a GREAT set of seasonal stickers to keep in your craft cabinet year round!
- You can also use any stickers that you have on hand. The point is just to count the right number of stickers for each tree.
Directions
Brace yourself for these instructions. They really cannot get much simpler.
- Print out your Christmas Tree counting sheets. (Download them here.)
- Allow children to decorate each tree with the corresponding number of stickers or “ornaments” as they wish.
And that’s it.
This is a really great independent activity for preschoolers that helps with both number recognition, number sense, and counting.
As a bonus, let your kids use the leftover stickers to decorate Christmas cards or sticker onto other pieces of paper for some extra holiday fun! If you’re kids are anything like mine, they love to put stickers on just about anything!
This is such a cute idea! I’m printing them out right now to do with my kids today! Thank you for the easy activity!
