Looking for fun, easy, and budget friendly Paw Patrol party ideas? These simple DIY ideas will help get the ball rolling. Because birthday parties don’t have to be over complicated!
My oldest boy recently turned four. FOUR!
And I don’t know why, but four felt really emotional for me. So big. Definitely not a toddler anymore, but full-fledged preschool aged. I love this age so much though. He is so much fun (albeit pretty strong-willed, too). He’s bright and creative. He’s silly and kind. And I just love him to pieces.
For the second year in a row, he has been excited to choose the theme for his birthday party. Last year, it was an Old Mac-Donald themed 3-I-E-I-O party and this year he wanted a Paw Patrol birthday party. And so that’s what the birthday boy got!

No-Fuss, Simple Birthday Parties Around Here
Before we get started though, I feel like a little disclaimer is necessary. When we talk about birthday parties around here, we mean with family. We keep it REALLY low-key. We are thankful to have a pretty big family and so at least up until this point, that’s who we’ve had over for birthday parties. That means that we keep lots of “activities” to a minimum, but now that my oldest is requesting specific party themes, I always try to come up with simple, often DIY party ideas to incorporate into our celebrations to make the day really feel like his day.
This will change, maybe once the kids are in school, but for now, they love having all their family together. And we love it too.
So today I’m sharing our very simple DIY Paw Patrol party.
We decided to stick with themed food and cake toppers for our party and thanks to Pinterest and a few google searches, we were able to pull it together pretty easily!
Paw Patrol Party Food
Hubs and I split the food responsibilities. I did the fun things – the treats, and he did the actual food – the pizza (not pictured).
I actually wanted to get a nugget tray and tie it into Chickaletta’s character, but the party was on Sunday, so our go-to Chick-Fil-A wasn’t an option.
Chocolate Dipped Pup Biscuits
I used my go-to sugar cookie recipe (you can find it here – and it’s allergy friendly!) and a dog bone cookie cutter to make these “pup biscuits”. I dipped them in chocolate candy melt after they’d cooled and added rainbow sprinkles. Not because rainbow sprinkles have anything to do with Paw Patrol, but because we like rainbow sprinkles on almost all our treats around here.
Rubble’s Cookie Pile
This was about the easiest snack of the day. I just put our toy Rubble and his bulldozer on a cake plate that we had and piled birthday cake flavored Oreo cookies all around. Super cute. Tasty. And very easy.
Paw Patrol Graham Snacks + Funfetti Cake Dip
We can’t resist rainbow sprinkles. I didn’t even think of a good name for this funfetti cake dip (grab the recipe here), but we had themed Paw Patrol graham cracker snacks and strawberries to dip, so I think it still fits. (You can also get Paw Patrol graham cracker snack in little individual bags, which would be a fun treat for guests or goodie bags!)
Zuma’s Watering Hole
This one is about as simple as it looks – water in a dispenser to make it easy for guests to get their drinks and refills. I just added some of our Paw Patrol characters around it and done. (We actually couldn’t find our Zuma character so…)
You could also add blue fruit punch to make it a little more festive, but we just like water around here, so that’s what we did. Plus sweet tea, but we didn’t have that yet when I took the photo.
Chocolate Cake + Paw Patrol Cake Toppers
And last but not least, a big yummy chocolate cake with chocolate icing! We used this recipe that doesn’t have eggs in it and iced it with regular chocolate buttercream icing.
Of course, I could have bought a more Paw Patrol specific cake, but I love making birthday cakes homemade and the birthday boy loved helping choose where to put his cake toppers to decorate his cake!

Other Fun Ideas
We also grabbed a Paw Patrol Pinata, filled it, and then completely forgot to use it. So it’s up in our closet probably for Thanksgiving since we’ll be with family. And Little helped me make a paper chain for decoration with blue, yellow, and red construction paper that I completely forgot to take a picture of.
You can also grab some fun Might Pup party inspiration from my friend, Cammeo, who actually also just threw a great Paw Patrol Party for her son this year! Check out her post here!

It is so cute! You did a great job! Love the chocolate bones! Emmett had a Paw Patrol birthday party this year too. (I just keep forgetting to write about it!!!).
