Happy Friday!! We made it to another weekend, my friends!
It was another whirlwind week over here – lots of good – with lots of yuck mixed in too. But here we are. I didn’t even turn to this week in my planner until Wednesday, if that’s any indication of how crazy things were here. And I always have my planner with me.
So, we’re going to just jump right in this week.
Date Nights with Hubs
And yes, you read that correctly – date nights plural. Well, one was technically a date afternoon with our date night in boxes (you can read about it in yesterday’s post), but we also had one of my sisters come over to watch the boys Monday night so Hubs and I could go out.
Hubs planned a super fun date night at a trampoline park with ice cream afterwards and we had lots of fun! We’re both working to make date nights more of a priority this year and this week was a big success on that front.
Sick Days with Littles
To follow up a really fun date night, Little woke us up in the wee hours of the morning on Tuesday because he was sick. I’m still not totally sure what was upsetting his tummy, but suffice it to say there was A LOT of laundry happening over here on Tuesday. Laundry and lots of rest, some Daniel Tiger, and plain food.
Hubs stayed home from work in the morning to help and I was able to get lots of cleaning done while the boys’ napped.
Wednesday was MUCH better. Little was still really tired and kind of out of it in the morning, but we were able to get outside late in the morning and his appetite was mostly back by dinner time.
We skipped small group Wednesday night just in case though. Because nobody has time for sharing germs around here.
But, I think we’re on the mend and I am so thankful for that!
Sunshine and Spring Weather in February
Do you know what is the best? 75 degrees and sunny with a little bit of a breeze. Windows open because the pollen hasn’t arrived yet. Walks around the neighborhood in said GORGEOUS weather, and playing outside with the water table.
That is the best.
If we had to spend much of the week at home, I’m so thankful that the weather was so nice. It was such a great blessing to be able to get outside this week.
Encouraging Notes from Friends
A friend of mine sent me a video of her son reciting some of the things he was learning with our love themed Bible verse cards for Valentine’s. It was so special and such a great encouragement to me! I love to know when the content I share in this space is useful and encouraging to others!
You can grab your own Bible Verse Valentine Cards here.
Looking forward to
This weekend. I’ve already asked Hubs for a couple of hours to myself tomorrow morning to go get coffee, maybe do some writing, likely some reading, and grabbing some things for the boys for Valentine’s Day. No way can I go get any sort of small gift for them if they are with me if there is any hope of it lasting until Valentine’s Day.
We’ve also got some fun family time on the calendar and I’m hoping to just be able to spend some time relaxing.
And that’s what we’ve got this week friends! I hope everyone has a really wonderful weekend! Let me know what you’re up to or if you’ve got anything fun going on this weekend!
